THE STORY

“Field Journal is a continuation of Hand Made Goods in a form of limited small batch manufactured product, to enable the ideas to be available to more than one person in a more accessible way.”

<The Begining>

In my attempt on finding the sweet spot amongst facts, authenticity, visual references and, most importantly, new original ideas, I would deconstruct vintage 1940s WWII garments just for the specific alpaca material and the dead-stock Conmar zippers for my designs, and here it is, that how it all started, in a nutshell.

<Hand-Made-Goods>

Founded in 2018 with the contradiction of innovative design pursuits and the appreciation and nostalgia of pre mid-centry vintage menswear and objects.

The design Journey of our logos and labels from the begining.

<Prototyping process>

While “Handmade” normally associates with quality, rules and tradition but to us it is a design process, a practice of intuition, capturing and presenting humanness and ideation connecting to a good design. Our design are uniquely original because the source of inpiration is subconciously altered accordingly by the problem solving process while the design is being made by hand. We think such a process is how the interesting vintage pieces were made back in the day and is becoming precious with diffferent tecnology advancements.

The Hand-Made-Goods ideology has taken various design consultancy contracts internationally alongside its own brand product creation since its begining.

We have taken a break on the own brand stuff from late 2022, 2023, but we are making a return. Thanks for all your support through the years including the pandemic period and the aftermath of it, it means a lot. Ancora vivo!
